In light of errant teaching on the supposed right of husbands to abuse their wives, we need to be Christians who rightly handle word of truth. Rightly handled, we see in God’s Word that submission and abuse do not go together. God never authorizes abuse.
I have noticed that quite a few female victims and advocates in the Christian community say that Hagar was an abuse victim, and drr E pict Abraham as Hagar’s primary abuser. But they don’t talk much about Hagar’s sin, nor whether Sarah sinned in that narrative.
